TeamSamba workshops explained:

The workshops normally start off with a small introduction to all the instruments; from big bass drums, African hand drums to small Samba bells.

Everyone then chooses an instrument and are then split into groups according to what they have chosen. At this stage we can begin to work on the desired rhythm for the chosen instruments.

"The TeamSamba ethos is about encouraging individuals to work with others towards a common goal."

Within fifteen minutes the whole group with all their different instruments will be playing together. The rest of the time is spent structuring the piece and giving it a start, middle and end. By the end of any given workshop, the group will have a full Samba drumming piece worthy of performance.

"TeamSamba creates an environment in which even the most rhythmically-challenged will be able to find and follow the beat."

All materials and drums are provided and our experienced facilitator will ensure everyone plays an integral part in the overall group performance. The workshops can last from one hour to a whole day.

Finally, no experience is needed and anybody, any age can benefit enormously From Team Samba.

"The uniqueness of TeamSamba is everybody gets to play a percussive instrument and is free to let go and have as much fun as possible."
